Dream Weaving

Can't you just totally see me in this jacket? Lounging by the fireplace, reading Costco catalogs? Some day, I'ma' own that dream.

I don't know what I am doing searching terms like "Cats sweater" on ebay. Not at this time of the year anyway. It's been dead hot! I've been all sweaty tanks and shorts, working outside on the island all summer. What a treat that job has turned out to be. Yesterday I spent 5 hours doing shaving cream paper marbling with kids!

I've got a flickr set going of my projects on the island. And a million more adorable, artsy things can be seen at the CMA Blog, including loads of claymation and stop animation movies done in the media lab - Like this!

Stumbling Uponings

One thing about big city is that sometimes you will accidentally walk by something you have seen or heard about on the internet! The good side of that is that sometimes you walk by this!

Goodness gracious and I just got to walk in and look around at all these treats for free! Lucky me, it was the last day of the exhibition.

The name to know is Michael Velliquette, the game to play is cut and glue. It's all made straight out of Commericially Colored Cardstock.

Seen left and right are his TOWERS in whole. Above back up there is a detail.

There is more of this here here here here here here here here!

I'm a sucker for obsessively detailed work, of course - check his web hole to see what I mean.

Zonker

Got new glasses again ! They make me feel really cool.

This is what happened today while nodding off for my afternoon nap:

I wish I was in a sea bed right now. Sea bed... or river bed. "Truck bed?"
Forest floors, cliff walls, and the sea bed. "Ocean shelves can go on the cliff walls"
The ceiling can be like, stars, what is the expression? Canopy of stars?
And what do you call those mountains that look like tables? "Mesas, it's Spanish for table"
"We can eat with river forks off of tectonic plates."
But what are we going to sit on? Elephant stools?

Zonk!
